Holding Your Anxieties

Thin sheets of copper inscribed with someones worries have been crumpled and enameled over. In this piece I choose to carry these anxieties for those people and in doing so relieve them of their troubles

Self Portraits in Enamel Series
2017

While studying abroad in Italy I found myself disliking the way I looked after eating all the delicious food and drinking all the amazing wine. I wanted to find a way to appreciate my body, so I decided to make art from it. Each piece is a different self exploration in learning to love my body. Through this project I found a love for enameling and using the human form as a true piece of art.

Form Exploration
2018
.

During my senior year I took a mechanisms class and one of the assignments was to create an interesting kinetic piece of jewelry; this is what I came up with. After doing some experimenting with shapes and form I came up with these shapes that could fit into each other nicely. Each squiggle can move in and out using the wires coming out of the sides. This piece would later inspire me to create the bubbling anxiety necklace.
